THE CALL IS FOR YOU
Live Your Calling: What On Earth Am I Here For?- Part 1
“We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His
purpose.”
Rom. 8:28 (NIV)
Vocation is calling, vocation is not a job.
“My prayer is that light will flood your hearts and that you will understand the hope that was given to you when God CALLED YOU. Then you will discover the glorious blessings that will be yours together with all of God’s people!”
Eph. 1:18-19 (CEV)
WHAT I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MY LIFE’S CALLING
1. MY CALLINF IS A GIFT FROM GOD
All by grace.
“God, by his grace through Christ, has called you to become his people.”
Gal. 1:6 (NCV)
Grace is Undeserved kindness.
“He has saved us and called us to a holy life - not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.”
2Tim. 1:9(NIV)
2. I'M CALLED FOR GOD'S PURPOSE.
“Before the two boys were born, God told Rebekah, ‘The older will serve the younger.’ This was before the boys had
done anything good or bad. God said this so that the one chosen would be chosen because of God’s own plan. He
was chosen because he was the one God wanted to call, not because of anything he did.”
Rom. 9:11 (NCV)
Career makes a living.
Calling makes a life.
Job, can change, calling not changing
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Eph. 2:10 (NIV)
Workmanship = masterpiece
God didn't create a Junk
Jesus didn't die for a Junk
Holy Spirit didn't live in a Junk
Only show when you fulfill the calling.
3. GOD CHOSE MY CALLING BEFORE I WAS BORN.
“It pleased God in his kindness to choose me and call me even before I was born! What undeserved mercy!”
Gal. 1:15 (NLT)
“Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you.”
Jer. 1:5 (MSG)
“I am your Creator. You were in my care even before you were born!”
Isaiah 44:2 (CEV)
You are not by accident, God is your creator.
You are God's beloved, you were under God's care.
4. MY SINS AND MY MISTAKES DON'T CHANGE MY CALLING.
“By calling me into his service, Jesus has judged me trustworthy, even though I used to be a blasphemer and a per- secutor and contemptuous. Mercy, however, was shown me, because while I lacked faith, I acted in ignorance.” 1Tim. 1:12-13(NJB)
God has no plan B in your life.
5. MY CALLING IS PROMINENT.
“God’s gifts and his calling are irrevocable.”
Rom. 11:29 (NIV)
Your calling doesn't change.
“God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.”
Rom.11:29 (NLT)
6. MY CALLING IS CONNECTED TO OTHERS.
Calling and community goes together You cannot fulfil your calling on your own
If your ear disconnected from your body, you can't hear anything.
Body= church
You need to connect to a church family.
Small group, they help you in your weakness, and you help them on their weakness.
“We are all one body, we have the same Spirit, and we have all been called to the same glorious future hope.”
Eph. 4:4 (NLT)
“Brothers and sisters, you are holy partners in a heavenly calling.”
Heb. 3:1 (GW)
7. GOD EMPOWER WHAT HE CALLS ME TO DO
God will never ask you to do if he didn't give you the power to do.
I commit to God's calling to my life; God will commit the resources to get it done.
“I now urge you to live the life to which God called you.”
Eph. 4:1 (NCV)
5 ways to learning your calling.
1. Listen to God's word everyday
2. Enlist friends who challenges me
3. Ask question and accept correction
4. Remember and reinforce what I learned
5. Now do it
“That is why we always pray for you, asking our God to help you live the kind of life he called you to live. We pray
that with his power God will help you do the good things you want and perform the works that come from your
faith.”
2Thes. 1:11(NCV)
“The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.”
1Thes. 5:24(NIV)
8. THERE IS THE PRIZE FOR LIVING OUT HIS CALLING.
The reward is last forever.
“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Phil. 3:14 (NIV)
The Prize is You get to share all thing God have in heaven.
Life on earth is a test, to test your faithfulness.
Faithful in little, you will be faithful much.
“Live the kind of life that pleases God, who calls you to share in his own Kingdom and glory.”
1Thes. 2:12(TEV)

LEAVING A LEGACY OF FAITH
Leaving a Lasting Legacy – Message 2
“Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe He exists and that He
rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”
Heb. 11:6 (NIV)
WHAT WE MUST MODEL AND TEACH ABOUT FAITH FAITH IS...
1. BELIEVING WHEN I DON’T SEE IT.
“Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
Heb. 11:1 (NIV)
2. OBEYING WHEN I DON’T UNDERSTAND IT.
“It was by faith that Noah built an ark to save his family from the ood. He obeyed God, who warned him about
something that had never happened before.”
Heb. 11:7 (NLT)
“It was faith that made Abraham obey when God called him and go out to a country God had promised to him. He
left his own country without knowing where he was going.”
Heb. 11:8 (GN)
3. PERSISTING WHEN I DON’T FEEL LIKE IT.
Godly man and woman make the choices to develop the habit and produce godliness in their life.
Keep your eye on God - like Moses
“It was by faith that Moses left Egypt and was not afraid of the King’s anger. He held to his purpose like a man
who could see the invisible.”
Heb. 11:27 (JB)
“What is faith? It is the con dent assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things
we cannot yet see.”
Heb. 11:1 (NLT)
4. ANNOUNCING IN ORDER TO EXPERIENCE IT.
“It was by faith that Joseph, when he was about to die, con dently spoke of God’s bringing the people of Israel out
of Egypt. He was so sure of it that he commanded them to carry his bones with them when they left!”
Heb. 11:22 (NLT)
“By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see.”
Heb. 11:3 (Mes)
“For He spoke, and it came to be.”
Psalm 33:9 (NIV)
(God said) “I have made you a father of many nations... God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not
as though they were.”
Rom. 4:17 (NIV)
“God speaks of future events with as much certainty as though they were already past.”
Rom. 4:17 (LB)
“For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved.”
Rom. 10:10 (TEV)
5. GIVING WHEN I DON’T HAVE IT.
“It was faith that made Abel’s o ering to God a better sacri ce than Cain’s. Through his faith...God approved of his
giving.”
Heb. 11:4 (GN)
Is not how much you give matter to God, is your attitude.
Give by reason or give by revelation
Give by reason doesn't need any faith
Give by revelation when I say what You want me to give through me?
“Because of their great joy... They gave even more than they could a ord.”
2 Cor. 8:2-3 (ICB)
Give when you don't have it.
“Honor the Lord by giving Him the rst part of all your income, and He will ll your barns and over ow your
barrels with the nest wines.”
Prov. 3:9 (LB)
“On every Lord’s Day each of you should put aside something from what you have earned during the week, and
use it for your o ering. The amount depends on how much the Lord has helped you earn.”
1 Cor. 16:2 (LB)
6. THANKING GOD BEFORE I RECEIVE IT.
“By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the people had marched around them for seven days.”
Heb. 11:30 (NIV)
“When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it and you will be given what you ask for.”
Mark 11:24 (GN)
“Jesus said, ‘Because of your faith, it will happen.’”
Matt. 9:29 (NLT)
You always get your prayer answer, but not always the way you want.
7. TRUSTING GOD IF I DON’T GET IT ON EARTH.
“They were all commended for their faith yet none of them received what had been promised. God had planned
something better...”
Heb. 11:39-40 (NIV)
“Faith comes from hearing the Word of God...” Rom. 10:17 (NIV)

HOW TO INVEST YOUR LIFE
“We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Eph. 2:10 (NIV)
SEVEN PRINCIPLES FOR INVESTING YOUR LIFE
Matt. 25:14-30
1. OWNERSHIP:
Everything I have really belong to God.
“Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them.”
(vs. 14)
2. ALLOCATION:
God has given me some unique talent.
“To one he gave ve talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent,
each according to his ability.”
(vs. 15)
“We have di erent gifts, according to the grace given us”
Rom. 12:6 (NIV)
3. ACCOUNTABILITY:
God expects me to use my talent.
(vs. 19)
4. UTILIZATION:
It is wrong for me to buries what God gave me.
• 1st man doubled his talents. (vs. 16)
• 2nd man doubled his talents (vs. 17)
• 3rd man buries his talents. (vs. 18)
The master’s reaction: (vs. 26-27) “you wicked, lazy servant”
- You can't please God by playing a safe
Fear keeps me from using my talent.
“I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground.”
(vs 25)
3 kinds of fear keep you developing your talent:
If I don’t use it, I lose it.
“Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents.”
(vs 28)
The way to invest my talents is through:
Principle of use it or lose it
7. COMPENSATION:
If I use my talent wisely, I will be rewarded.
“His master replied, ‘Well done good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things – I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!”
(vs. 23)
HOW TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE
“A sweet friendship refreshes the soul.”
Pr. 27:9 (Mes)
1. BE COURAGE AND TAKE THE INITIATIVE.
Fear disconnect human being
Fear may lead to
1. Defensive
2. Distance
3. Demanding
We should fill with Spirit of God.
“For the Holy Spirit, God’s gift, does not want you to be afraid of people, but to be wise and strong, and to love them and enjoy being with them.”
2Tim. 1:7(LB)
2. BE CONSIDERATE OF THEIR NEEDS.
“Look out for one another’s interests, not just your own.”
Phil 2:4 (GN)
Be thoughtful of others
Look out what others interest
“You must make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive the person who o ends you. Remember, God for- gave you, so you must forgive others.”
Col. 3:13 (NLT)
3. BE CONSTRUCTIVE WITH YOUR WORDS
Talk less, listen more
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up accord- ing to their needs, that it may bene t those who listen.”
Eph. 4:29 (NIV)
4. BE CANDID ABOUT PROBLEMS.
“An honest answer is the sign of a true friendship.”
Pr. 24:26 (GN)
“Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted...”
Pr. 27:5-6 (NIV)
5. BE CONFIDENTIAL WITH INFORMATION.
Pr. 11:13 (NIV)
6. BE COMMITTED TO THE RELATIONSHIP.
“A friend loves at all times.”
Pr. 17:17 (NIV)
“A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
Pr. 18:24 (NIV)

HOW LONG SHOULD I KEEP PRAYING?
HOW CAN I KNOW GOD’S WILL?
“Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”
Eph. 5:15-17 (NIV)
I. WHAT IS GOD’S WILL?
• IT’S NOT A FEELING
• IT’S NOT A FORMULA
-Because it is not fix.
-Because it no room for failure.
• GOD’S WILL IS A RELATIONSHIP
“... God [has] invited you into this wonderful friendship with His Son, Jesus Christ.”
1 Cor. 1:9 (LB)
Focus on God, not His guidance.
II. HOW TO KNOW GOD’S WILL
1. ADMIT THAT I NEED GUIDANCE
“He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.”
Ps. 25:9
2. ASK IN FAITH FOR DIRECTION.
You have not because you ask not
“If you want to know that God really wants you to do, ask Him, and He will gladly tell you, for He is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask Him; but ... be sure that you really expect Him to tell you ... If you don’t ask in faith, don’t expect the Lord to give you any solid answer.”
James 1:5-6 (LB)
Two keys Knowing God wisdom.
- Ask right person (God),
- Ask with right attitude (expect him to answer )
3. LISTEN FOR GOD’S RESPONSE.
“God does speak – sometimes one way and sometimes another – even though people may not understand it.”
- through bible (word of God)
- teaching (sermon)
- impression (must match with God's word)
- circumstances (circumstance which create pain in our life)
Job 33:14 (NCV)
4. TRUST GOD WHEN I DON’T UNDERSTAND.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
Pr. 3:5-6 (NIV)
“Your road led by a pathway through the sea – a pathway no one knew was there!”
Ps. 77:19 (LB)
• Don’t be fatalistic.
The idea of fatalism — that everything that happens is God’s will — leads to self-pity. It causes us to blame God for everything bad in our lives rather than accepting responsibility that we caused the problem. And, fatalism leads to passivity. It makes us think, “I’m waiting on God to bring me a wife” or “I’m waiting on God to get me a job.” God’s saying, “I gave you a brain! I gave you two feet! Get out and do something about it!”
• Don’t be frustrated.
If you try to figure out everything in your life, you’re going to be very frustrated. Sometimes you’re going to do what you think is God’s will, and it’s going to fail. “I thought God was leading me to start this business, but it failed.”
What do you do when there are no answers? You keep trusting God, knowing that he’s working on your character through all of your circumstances and that he has good plans for you.
• Don’t be fearful.
What is behind the fear of God’s will? The root problem is that you doubt God’s love. The Bible says, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear” (1 John 4:18a). We always get into trouble when we doubt God’s love, because when we don’t trust him, we don’t obey him.
“The steps of a man are established by the Lord... When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong because the Lord is the one who holds his hand.”
Ps. 37:23-24 (NAS)
6. ACT ON WHAT I ALREADY KNOW TO DO.
“Anyone who knows the right thing to do, but does not do it, is sinning.”
James 4:17 (NCV)
“Don’t boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.”
Pr. 27:1 (NIV)
“When you make a promise to God, don’t delay in following through, for God takes no pleasure in fools.”
Eccl. 5:4 (NLT)
