Faith and Patience - Rev Kong Hee

3 "G"s
1) Geatures (儀態)
2) Grace (恩典)
3) Giving (奉獻)
“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
Proverbs 11:25 NIV
信心和忍耐
“We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.”
Hebrews 6:12 NIV

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
Hebrews 11:1 NIV

Patience is Constant (Without stopping!!!) and consistent (Without changing!!!)
Never stop and never change.
Until seen the manifestation.
Exercise our faith

Enemy of patience:
1) Doubt
“But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”
James 1:6-8 NIV
“Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.”
Matthew 21:21 NIV
““Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”
Mark 11:23 NIV

Should know God mean what he said , he said what he mean.

Doubt can contaminate our faith.

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”
1 John 5:14-15 NIV

Doubt is not a sin, but it makes your faith weak.

“Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.”
1 Timothy 2:8 NIV

As long as I'm living, I'm breathing, you keep on believing!!! Feed our faith and stave our doubt. Meditated God's word!!!

Praying 10%
Meditating 90%
Give God's space talking to you.
Believe and agree on God's promises.
And tell in out.

2) Unbelieve
That's sin!!!
Faith says, God can and God will
Doubt says God maybe can and maybe will.
Unbelieve says, God can't and God won't!

Faith (confidence)
Doubt (less confidence)
Unbelieve (not confidence)

Unbelieve build a wall, that's why Jesus can't do anything.
“Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked. “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.” And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.”
Matthew 13:54-58 NIV

3) A harden heart
“Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.”
Mark 16:14 NIV

What you think , determine what you feel, what you feel will affect your decision.

Sleep with bible verse, will feel happy.

“Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!””
Matthew 14:25-30 NIV

Battle in his taught, lose focus on God's promises.
“Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.”
Matthew 14:31-32 NIV

Little faith- short duration. Can't last long.
“And do not [for a moment] be frightened or intimidated in anything by your opponents and adversaries, for such [constancy and fearlessness] will be a clear sign (proof and seal) to them of [their impending] destruction, but [a sure token and evidence] of your deliverance and salvation, and that from God.”
Philippians 1:28 AMP
