Fasting Prayer Day 13 9/3/2016

Day 13 –
Pray that your husband use practical skills to build your family and make wise decisions for your welfare. Pray that he will serve unselfishly. (Gal. 5:13; Phil. 2:3-4)
“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.”
Galatians 5:13 NIV
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”
Philippians 2:3-4 NIV

DAY 3

Dear God, please give my future husband vision and clarity today. Please inspire him with a strong vision for his life. Only you know exactly what his life will hold, and precisely what you want to do through him. Please remind him of that vision every day. Help him to rely solely on you for his strength, and to move forward with confidence. God, I ask you to help him love you more than anything else, running after you, unapologetically seeking you with all his heart. I ask you to give him passion and a selfless, unashamed boldness that can only come from you.
Amen.

DAY 3

Dear God, help me to put my trust in you and wait for you to bring my future husband to me in your perfect timing. Help me not to be anxious or worried about when that time will be but to rest and wait on you. Thank you that you have had this man picked out for me before I was even born. Thank you for making him for me.

Keep my heart pure and safe in your care so that I will be ready to marry him whenever you choose to bring him along. I love you Jesus. Thank you. Amen

No marriage can be godly where a lack of care for each other is present.

God has called you and me to faithfulness in the deepest struggles we face. Our flesh will always want the easy way out but God gives His grace for every trial.

Godly couples have settled in for the long haul. They don’t ‘cut and run’ when things get tough. Remember the old vow, “In sickness and in health?”

Godly love bears all things. 1 Cor. 13:7
